Sustainability Champion
Senior Vice-President (Academic) Professor Phillip Wright is the Sustainabilty Strategic Plan Owner and our Sustainability Champion.
We are creating a more sustainable University of Southampton by working with students, staff and the local community. This is delivered through the following strategic action-focused routes:
The University’s Green Week took place from Monday 22 to Friday 26 April 2024. Open to both staff and students, Green Week incorporated World Earth Day, a global environmental movement to advance sustainability and climate action, and was jointly organised by the Sustainability Community of Practice (SCoP) and Southampton University Students’ Union (SUSU).
A range of sustainability-related talks and activities were held across campuses which can be found on the Green Week 2024 webpage.
