NOTES:
The University of Winchester was formerly an accredited institution of the University of Southampton. It was granted research degree awarding powers on 15 August 2008. The accreditation arrangement with the University of Southampton formally ended in early 2013 when the last research student was awarded a degree under this arrangement. Further details can be accessed in the Archive 2013/14.
In September 2014, the University of Chichester received notification from the Privy Council that its submission in respect of research degree awarding powers had been successful.
