Admissions |

Candidates for admission must satisfy the Regulations for Admission to Degree Programmes as specified in Section IV of the General Regulations.
Candidates whose first language is not English are required either:
- to reach a satisfactory standard in an approved test in English. The Faculty of Health Sciences' International English Language Testing System (IELTS) requirement is 6.5 overall with each component at 6.0 or higher. Other Secure English Language Tests (SELT) are accepted as identified on the university website http://www.southampton.ac.uk/studentadmin/admissions/admissionspolicies/language/, or
- to offer a first degree from a UK university, or
- to have been instructed in English and come from a country which appears on the list of those exempt from testing.
If the candidate cannot provide any of the above requirements, they must otherwise demonstrate to the Faculty that they have an adequate command of both written and spoken English language to follow the proposed course. An original English language certificate is required as evidence in all cases except where online verification is available; ie: IELTS results.
Candidates may only register for:
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will be considered on a case by case basis in accordance with the University regulations for prior learning. |

Structure of Programme(s) |

The programme structure is as follows:
Postgraduate Certificate: 30 ECTS
3 taught modules of 10 ECTS
The programme will be undertaken part time. The minimum and maximum periods of study for the PG Cert in Low Intensity CBT with IAPT Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner status are as follows: Part-time: Minimum 1 year Maximum 3 years. |

Assessment |

The performance of candidates shall be assessed by the Board of Examiners in accordance with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) requirements and the University's regulations governing examinations for the relevant programme(s) of study.
- Assessments are set and undertaken throughout the academic year.
- Students must meet the pass criteria in both academic and practice assessment to pass overall. Non-assessed work may also be a programme requirement.
- Students will also be required successfully to achieve and complete practice based clinical competencies within all of the modules. The competencies, which, when completed, demonstrate 'fitness to practise' are outlined in the Clinical Competencies document. Students are required to successfully achieve the competencies indicated in this document to comply with the requirements of the programme.
- When attending for a simulated practice OSCE students must produce either their university ID card or a form of photographic ID in which they are clearly identifiable. Students without photographic ID will not be permitted entry to the simulated practice OSCE.
Students are advised to familiarise themselves with the policies regarding academic integrity and confidentiality. |
