Reference should be made to the University's General Regulations found in Section IV and Section V (Higher Degree Regulations) of the University Calendar.

Except where an opt-out has been granted by the University (see below) the following academic regulations apply in addition to the General Regulations.

1. Admissions
 
Candidates for admission must satisfy the Regulations for Admission to Degree Programmes as specified in Section IV of the University Calendar. The following additional criteria also apply.

All candidates must satisfy the Programme Leader that they are competent to pursue the programme. Candidates must also be approved by the Faculty of Health Sciences. The right to refuse permission shall be reserved to the Programme Leader.

Students must be registered with a professional regulatory body.

Students should normally have one year's experience post qualifying.

Students should have evidence of a  recognised academic diploma or be able to demonstrate equivalence.

International students must provide evidence of their ability to communicate effectively in the English language obtaining an IELTS score of 6.5.

RPL will be considered on a case by case basis and in accordance with the University RPL Policy.


2. Structure of Programme(s)
 
The award of Bachelor of Science (Hons) Clinical Practice is obtained upon completion of 60 ECTs at level 6. The programme comprises: 1 core module of 20 ECTs at level 6 and a choice of modules at level 6 totalling 40 ECTs.


3. Progression
 
Progression Regulations are as described in the University Calendar, Section IV: General Regulations.


4. Assessment
 
The performance of candidates shall be assessed by the relevant Board of Examiners in accordance with NMC requirements and the University regulations governing examinations.

When attending for an examination students must produce either their university ID card or a form of photographic ID in which they are clearly identifiable. Students without photographic ID will not be permitted entry to the examination.

Students are advised to familiarise themselves with the policies regarding academic integrity and confidentiality.


5. Award of Qualification(s)
 
Candidates who have satisfied the examiners and who have accumulated the requisite number of credits shall be awarded a BSc (Honours) Clinical Practice in accordance with the University Regulations for Progression, Determination and Classification of Results for Undergraduate and Integrated Masters Programmes and the various variations of these as stated in these programme regulations.


6. Placements/Study Abroad/Exchange/Fieldwork
 
Not applicable.


7. Other
