Admissions |

1.1 |
For admission to any programme leading to the degree of MSc Foundations in Clinical Psychology, students:
- must satisfy the Regulations for Admission to Degree Programmes as specified in Section IV of the University Calendar;
- must satisfy the necessary programme requirements as set out in the programme specification and outlined below.

1.2 |
The normal requirement for entry to all programmes is a good first degree (First or Upper Second class) or equivalent in a relevant subject of an approved university or institution of higher education. |
1.3 |
The IELTS/TOEFL/iB-TOEFL (or equivalent) entrance requirement is an overall score of 7.0 with a minimum score of 6.5 in each sub-score. |
1.4 |
No application for APL may be made towards the degree. |
1.5 |
All individuals are selected and treated on their relative merits and abilities in line with the University's Equal Opportunities Policy. Disabled applicants will be treated according to the same procedure as any other applicant with the added involvement of the Enabling Services Office to assess their needs. |

2. |
Structure of Programme(s) |

2.1 |
All modules in the programmes are credit rated in accordance with the Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme (CATS) as specified in Section IV of the University Calendar. |
2.2 |
The programme is studied over one year full-time. |
2.3 |
The programme may include lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical work, coursework and projects as specified for individual modules. |

Assessment |
|
4.1 |
The performance of students shall be assessed by the Board of Examiners in accordance with the regulations governing the Progression, Determination and Classification of Results: Standalone Masters Programmes as set out in Section IV of the University Calendar. |
4.2 |
Assessment may include written assignments, examinations, research presentations and a dissertation. Students for the MSc will be required to undertake a research dissertation on a topic to be agreed with their Supervisor. Students must submit their dissertation within a timescale agreed by the Programme Director. |
4.3 |
Students for the MSc may be required to attend a viva voce examination. |
4.4 |
The module pass mark and overall pass mark is 50%. |

6.1 |
Students are encouraged to undertake voluntary experience of at least 15 days duration. |
