Structure of Programme(s) |

| Mode of attendance and duration |
| The programme is restricted to full-time study only. |
| There are three Parts and each Part is normally completed in one academic year. In addition there are work-based training elements at the end of Parts I & II and during Part III. |

| Structure |
| Each Part is 120 credit points and consists of a mixture of core, compulsory and optional modules. The work-based training forms part of the total credits awarded in Parts I & II and is additional in Part III. |

| Modules are listed in the Programme Specification and full details are given in the Module Specifications. Module specifications and module availability are subject to annual review. |

Progression |
| |
| Students must normally complete each Part successfully before progressing to the next. A candidate not achieving the required standard may refer according to the regulations set out in the University’s progression rules (section IV of the Calendar). |

Assessment |
| |
Assessment of examinations and coursework is in accordance with University regulations (see University Calendar Section IV).
When students repeat modules externally, it may be impractical for them to undertake the normal assessment activities, for example assessed laboratory or group work. In such cases they will be provided with an alternative but equivalent form of assessment which will meet the required learning outcomes. Work-based training may normally only be taken as part of an internal repeat. |

Award of Qualification(s) |

The final award is awarded by Senate on the recommendation of the Examination Board to candidates who have satisfactorily completed an approved course of study and have satisfied the assessment requirements.
Final awards
The award of BEng (Hons) in Heathcare Science (Audiology) is available to students who have completed Parts I, II and III including the work-based training elements satisfactorily. Degree classifications are determined in accordance with University regulations (see University Calendar Section IV).
The awards of CertHE and DipHE are awarded to candidates who have satisfactorily completed Parts I and II respectively and to students who complete parts I to III but who do not apss the work-based training element. |

Other |

These regulations may be revised during the student's period of registration in accordance with the procedures approved by Senate.
Candidates are required to satisfy the academic and attendance requirements of the programme as laid out in the Programme Specification and the Student Handbook for the programme. Those failing to do so may have their course terminated. |
