Recruitment and Admissions Committee
Terms of reference
The Committee formulates strategies and policies in the area of recruitment and admissions for consideration by UEG.
- To bring forward strategic and policy proposals to UEG for the development and enhancement of institutional procedures for student recruitment and admissions using appropriate sources of information such as market research, competitor analyses and trend data.
- To maintain an oversight of, and monitor, the implementation of recruitment and admission policies, using, where appropriate, benchmarks agreed by UEG, and to monitor compliance of such policies with the relevant University Quality Assurance statements and external Codes of Practice.
- To identify and disseminate good practice by maintaining an overview of school recruitment and admissions procedures and practices and by defining roles and responsibilities for key individuals including Admissions Tutors.
- To maintain an overview, and ensure the continued enhancement, of the training and development activities provided by the University for its Admissions Tutors and admissions support staff.
- To advise UEG on emerging risks and other matters in the area of recruitment and admissions.
