Human Resources Committee
Terms of reference
The committee advises UEG on all Human Resources matters and brings forward proposals for strategy and policy in this area.
- To bring forward strategic and policy proposals to UEG in all areas of human resources (HR) including:
- equal opportunities and diversity;
- personnel and employee relations;
- training and development;
- terms and conditions of employment; and
- probation, appraisal and promotion.
- To maintain an oversight of, and monitor, the implementation of HR strategy and policies on the basis of reports from the appropriate groups1 and using, where relevant, benchmarks agreed by UEG and to report thereon to UEG.
- To monitor, and to report to UEG on a regular basis, the number of staff employed by the University.
- To advise UEG on emerging risks and other maters in the area of HR.
