Candidates must hold the Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR) as defined by the British Psychological Society (BPS). |

Prior experience of work with children in a care, community or educational setting. |

Structure of Programme(s) |

2.1 |
The programme to be followed is organised over three full-time years. |
2.2 |
Candidates for the Doctoral programme will be required to follow a three year training programme of supervised clinical experience, academic teaching and research leading to the doctoral degree, dated as from their registration. |

Progression |

3.1 |
Candidates whose fitness to practice as an Educational Psychologist may be limited by reason of health or behaviour may be withdrawn from candidature on recommendation of a Fitness to Practice panel. |
|
|
4. |
Assessment |
|
4.1 |
The schedule of assessment will comprise of three parts, as specified in the programme specification, to cover academic competence, clinical competence and research competence including submission of a research thesis and viva voce examination. |

5. |
Award of Qualification(s) |

5.1 |
The degree of Doctor of Educational Psychology (D.Ed.Psychol.) may be awaraded by the Senate on the recommendation of the relevant School Board to candidates who have satisfactorily completed an approved course of study and have satisfied the assessment requirements. |

6. |
Placements/Study Abroad/Exchange/Fieldwork |

6.1 |
Attendance at all teaching and placements is compulsory. |

These regulations may be revised during the student's period of registration in accordance with the procedures approved by Senate. |
