Candidates must be eligible for the Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR) as defined by the British Psychological Society (BPS). |

Prior experience of work with children in a care, community or educational setting. |

This programme is governed by the University's General Regulations. |

The programme is to be followed is organised over three full-time years. |

Candidates for the Doctorate will be required to follow a three-year training of supervised clinical experience, academic teaching and research leading to the Doctoral degree dated as from their registration. |

Candidates whose fitness to practise as an Educational Psychologist may be limited by reason of health or behaviour may be withdrawn from candidature on the recommendation of a Fitness to Practise Panel. |

Assessment, Classification and Award |

The schedule of assessments will comprise three parts as specified in the programme specification to cover:
- assessment of academic competence;
- assessment of clinical competence;
- assessment of research competence, including submission of a research thesis and viva voce examination.

The Degree of Doctor of Educational Psychology (D.Ed.Psychol.) may be awarded by Senate on the recommendation of the Board of the School of Psychology to a graduate in Psychology provided that the candidate has successfully pursued a course of study, professional training and research as prescribed above to the satisfaction of the Board of School of Psychology and has fulfilled any other University requirements. |
