| Entry Requirements |

Applicants for admission must have satisfactorily completed the Diploma in Advanced Studies: Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling, gaining 60% average or above overall, or recognised equivalent. |

Progression from the Diploma in Advanced Studies: Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling is not an automatic right but is on the recommendation of the Board of the School of Psychology. |

This programme is governed by the University's General Regulations. |
| 4. |
All dissertation titles must be approved by the Course Team who will allocate to each student a dissertation supervisor appropriate to the subject of the dissertation. |

| Assessment, Classification and Award |

Examination shall be by assessment of the dissertation. The maximum period for submission of the dissertation is 12 months. |

The MSc in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling is awarded by Senate on the recommendation of the Board of the School of Psychology to candidates who have satisfactorily completed a course of study leading to the Diploma in Advanced Studies: Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling and have completed a dissertation of a maximum of 20,000 words. |

The degree may be awarded with Distinction if a candidate secures a mark of over 70% for the dissertation and an average of over 70% for the Diploma. |

Candidates who fail the dissertation may, with the approval of the Board of the School of Psychology, re-submit a dissertation on one occasion only by a date specified by the Board. |
