Section 13 : The Auditors
- The University shall have external Auditors who shall be appointed by the Council. The Auditors shall be Public Accountants in the active practice of their profession and no Auditor shall be a member of the Court, Council or staff of the University. The Auditors shall hold office for three years, shall be eligible for re-appointment and shall receive such remuneration as may be determined by the Council.
- The Auditors shall have a right of access at all reasonable times to the books and accounts and vouchers of the University and shall be entitled to require from the officers of the University such information and explanations as may be necessary for the performance of their duties.
- If the office of Auditors becomes vacant for any reason before the expiration of their period of office, the Council shall forthwith appoint new Auditors for the remainder of such period.
- The Auditors may resign by writing addressed to the Secretary of the Council.
