Regulations for the School of Social Sciences:
Politics & International Relations

1. Eight subjects will be studied and examined as follows:

2. Year 1

Semester one:
POLI1001, POLI1003, STAT1003 + 1 unit from Social Sciences list.

Semester two:
POLI1002, INTR1001 + 2 units from Social Sciences list.

3. Year 2

Semester one:
POLI2002, INTR2001, POLI2005, POLI2006 + 1 unit from Social Sciences list.

Semester two:
POLI2007, STAT2009 + 2 units from POLI/INTR list.

NOTE: students may take up to 2 units from Social Sciences list in lieu of POLI/INTR options. Students must take a total of 5 units in the sub-discipline of international relations in year 2 and 3 together - this may include the dissertation.

4. Year 3

Both semesters:
6 POLI/INTR units (units cannot be chosen if the corresponding unit is taken in Year 2)
Dissertation (POLI3016 - double unit)

NOTE: 1 Social Sciences unit may be selected in list of optional Politics units. Students must take a total of 5 units in the sub-discipline of International Relations in year 2 and 3 together – this may include the dissertation.
