Regulations for the Schools of the Faculty:
Economics and Mathematics

1. In the first year (Part I) eight subjects will be studied and examined as follows:
   
   

   Semester one:

   An approved Economics unit, MA105, MA101, MA103.

   Semester two:

   MA120, MA102, MA114, EC102

2. Year 2
   
   

   Semester one:

   EC223, EC227, MA201, 1 unit from EC2** or MA list

   Semester two:

   EC224, EC228, 1 unit from MA list, 1 unit from EC2** or Social Sciences list (excluding AM210).

3. Year 3
   
   

   Semester one:

   EC365

   Semester two:

   EC364

   Either semester:

   Either:
   Dissertation/Project (EC398/399 2 units)
   or:
   Contemporary Problems in Economics (EC390 1 unit)
   The remaining units to be taken from EC and MA lists.

4. Up to two of the optional units in Years 2 and 3 taken together may be drawn from the lists of units other than EC and MA units. At least 6 MA/and EC units exluding dissertation/EC390 must be taken in years 2 and 3 combined.
