Regulations for the Degree of Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering with the Foundation Year

1. The courses of study are in four parts, the Foundation Year and Parts I, II and III, each extending over one academic year.

2. The Foundation Year may be taken at the Highfield Campus, Southampton City College or Weymouth College of Technology.

3. Candidates must satisfy the examiners in all subjects at the end of the year. Candidates failing to satisfy the examiners at the first attempt may be referred in one or two individual subjects or may be required to resit the examinations, either in August/September or in June (See Paragraphs 6 to 9 above).

4. Candidates satisfying the examiners will proceed to Part I of the Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree. (See the Regulations for the three-year courses below.) Candidates wishing to proceed to MEng degrees must normally apply to do so at the beginning of Part I.
