Modern History and Politics with Quantitative Methods
  1. Course Requirements
    A-level History or Economic History or Politics or British Constitution; GCSE pass in Mathematics. Preference will be given to applicants with GCSE passes in a foreign language or Economics.

  2. Unit courses
    Year 1: HI118; HI120 plus two Cases and Contexts units; PO101, PO102, ST107, ST102 or ST104

    Year 2: (if not taking Politics dissertation in year 3) Semester 1: one double History option, PO251, one of: PO205, PO203 or Statistics unit: Semester 2: one double History option, and either two Politics options or one Politics option and one Statistics option

    Year 2: (if taking Politics dissertation in year 3) Semester 1: PO263, one double History option and either PO251 or Statistics unit; Semester 2: PO264, one double History unit, and either one Politics or one Statistics unit

    Year 3: 8 units, to include HI370, History special subject and either Special subject assessed work, 2 Politics units (which could include 2-unit dissertation), Statistics unit or Special subject dissertation, 2 Politics units, Statistics unit or History thematics, 3 Politics units (which could include 2-unit dissertation), Statistics unit
