Modern History and Politics with Economics
- Course Requirements
A-level History or Economic History or Politics or British Constitution; GCSE pass in Mathematics. Preference will be given to applicants with GCSE passes in a foreign language or Economics.
- Unit courses
Year 1: HI118; HI120; plus two Cases and Contexts units; PO101, PO102, either EC101 and EC102 or EC103 and EC104
Year 2: (if not taking Politics dissertation in year 3) Semester 1: one double History option, PO251; one of : PO205, PO203, or Economics unit; Semester 2: one double History option, and either two Politics options or one Politics option and one Economics option
Year 3: (if taking Politics dissertation in year 3) Semester 1: PO263, one double History option and either PO251 or Economics unit; Semester 2: PO264, one double History unit, and either one Politics or one Economics unit
Year 3: 8 units, to include HI370, History special subject and either Special subject assessed work, 2 Politics units (which could include 2-unit dissertation), economics unit or Special subject dissertation, 2 Politics units, Economics unit or History thematic, 3 Politics units (which could include 2-unit dissertation), Economics unit
