Regulations for the Schools of the Faculty: Economics
In the first year (Part I) eight subjects will be studied and examined as follows:
Semester one:
An approved Economics unit, an approved Quantitative Methods unit plus two optional units from other Social Sciences units
Semester two:
An approved Economics unit, approved Quantitative Methods unit (1 or 2 units to include EC108), plus either 1 or 2 optional units from other Social Sciences units.
Year 2
EC221, EC222, EC223, EC224
and either
EC229 or both EC227 and EC228. The
remaining units to be chosen from the
list of EC units.
Year 3
EC363
Both semesters:
Either EC367 or both EC369 and EC368
Plus either Contemporary Problems Paper (EC390) or Dissertation/project (EC398/99) and the remaining number of units from units numbered EC340 to EC378 (excluding EC362) or Social Sciences list.
Up to two of the optional units in Years 2 and 3 taken together may be drawn from the approved list of units other than EC units.
Each unit shall normally be examined at the end of the semester in which it is taken. Second and third year units shall count towards the final examination.
