Regulations for the Degree of Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Community Nursing
- The post-registration course consists of eight modules. Each module has a specified CAT rating at Level 3 and is summatively assessed.
- Students may normally register to undertake Level 3 degree studies once the following admission criteria, and the Regulations for Admission to Degree Courses as specified in Section IV of the General Regulations, have been met plus
- Effective registration with the U.K.C.C on the appropriate part of the Register and having completed an appropriate period of professional practice.
- Appropriate professional and academic study equivalent to 2nd year Honours Degree programme. i.e. 120 Level one and 120 level 2.
Admission to and continuation on the course is subject to specific status and health requirements. Students are required to inform the Head of School of any health or other problems relevant to their education and training or employment as a health professional. The right to refuse admission to the course shall be reserved to the Head of School.
- Normally, students will complete the required studies within a minimum of one year full time and two years part time.
- In order to qualify for the degree, candidates must:
- Have satisfied the entry requirements.
- Have successfully completed an approved course of study, including passing all the required assessments;
- and have fulfilled all English National Board requirements.
- The degree of Bachelor of Science in Community Nursing (Hons) will be awarded to successful candidates as follows: First Class, Second Class (upper division), Second Class (lower division), and Third Class.
