Regulations for the Degrees of Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering
- The courses of study for the degrees are in three parts, Parts I, II and III, each extending over one academic year.
- A candidate wishing to transfer to the four-year degree of Master of Engineering must normally apply to do so before the beginning of Part II.
- The award of the degree of Bachelor of Science or of the degree of Bachelor of Engineering will depend upon a candidate's performance in the Part II and Part III examinations and a report on an individual project. A candidate's performance in the project and the preparation of the report will be a significant factor in the determination of the candidate's overall standard of achievement. A list of successful candidates will be issued with the full names in alphabetical order arranged in the following classes and divisions: First Class, Second Class (upper division), Second Class (lower division), and Third Class. Candidates who have not acquitted themselves so as to deserve honours may, on the recommendation of the examiners, be awarded a pass degree.
- The award of an honours degree to a student who has retaken the Part III examination will be at the discretion of the Faculty Board.
