1. Course Requirements
   A-level French or equivalent

2. Unit courses
   Year 1: FR193 or FR194; one set of ML/FR linked units (2 units in total); PL109, PL112, PL116, Pl117
   Year 2: FR194 or FR195, PL267, PL210; 5 SML/PL units including at least 1 FR unit
   Year 3: Investigative Project (French)
   Year 4: Dissertation in either Philosophy (PL399) or French (FR399); FR196 or FR197; PL301, 3 SML/PL units including at least 1 FR unit and 1 PL unit

3. Special requirements
   Year 3 will be spent abroad.(Part-time students will normally be expected to spend a total of 3 months in a country where the language is spoken nationally).
