1. Course Requirments
   A-level French or equivalent and A-level History

2. Unit courses
   Year 1: FR193 or FR194; one set of ML/FR linked units (2 units in total); HI118 or HI119; HI120 or HI121; 2 HI units one of which must relate to the pre-1750 period
   Year 2: FR194 or FR195. 2 FR units: 1 FR unit may be replaced by an ML unit, 4 HI units.
   Year 3: FR399 (project)
   Year 4: FR196 or FR 197, 2 FR units; 4 HI units (HI Special Subject)

3. Special requirements
   Year 3 will be spent abroad.(Part-time students will normally be expected to spend a total of 3 months in a country where the language is spoken nationally).
