French (Linguistics and Language Studies)
  1. Course Requirments
    A-level French or equivalent.

  2. Unit courses
    Year 1: FR193 or FR194,; ML109 and FR111; one set of ML/FR linked units (2 units in total); 2 further units
    Year 2: FR194 or FR195; ML209, ML219, 2 Language-related FR units, 2 further FR/ML units, one or both of which may be replaced by Alternative Subject units Year 3: FR399 (project) Year 4: FR196 or FR197, 2 Language-related ML units, 2 Language-related FR units, 2 further FR/ML units, one or both of which may be replaced by Alternative Subject units

  3. Special requirements
    Year 3 will be spent abroad. (Part-time students will normally be expected to spend a total of 3 months in a country where the language is spoken nationally).
