1. Course requirements<
   As for Single Honours English, plus A-level German or equivalent.

2. Unit courses
   Year 1: EN102, EN110; GE193 or GE194; one set of ML/GE linked units (two units in total)
   Year 2: 4 EN units (one of which must be EN20D if you are taking your compulsory Final Year dissertation in the English Department); GE194 or GE195, 2 GE units; (one GE unit may be replaced by an ML unit)
   Year 3: GE399 (project)
   Year 4: 4 EN units; GE196 or GE197, 2 SML units of which at least one must be GE

3. Special requirements
   Year 3 will be spent abroad. (Part-time students will normally be expected to spend a total of 3 months in a country where the language is spoken nationally).
