1. Course requirements
   As for Single Honours English, Plus A-level French or equivalent

2. Unit courses
   Year 1: EN102, EN110; FR193 or FR194; one set of ML/FR linked units (two units in total)
   Year 2: 4 EN units (one of which must be EN20D if you are taking your compulsory Final Year dissertation in the English Department; 2 FR units; FR194 or FR195 (1 FR unit may be replaced by an ML unit)
   Year 3: FR399 (project)
   Year 4: 4 EN units, FR196 or FR197, 2 SML units of which at least one must be FR

3. Special requirements
   Year 3 will be spent abroad. (Part-time students will normally be expected to spend a total of 3 months in a country where the language is spoken nationally).
